November 3, 2020 – National Sandwich Day |National Gratitude Month
If You Had A Sandwich Named After You, What Would Be On It?
Welcome to November 3rd, 2020 on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate star-struck sandwiches and the magic of gratitude.
If you’re famous, it’s a rare honor for a restaurant to name a sandwich after you. Especially if the sandwich is good. For example: The Leonardo DiCaprio sandwich from Lioni’s in New York is: Roast beef, American Cheese, mozzarella, bruschetta, stuffed peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, fried eggplant, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. The Adam Sandler sandwich from The Stage deli is: salmon, lettuce, sturgeon, onion, and tomato. And, of course, the Elvis Presley: Peanut butter, banana, and bacon. Ok Marlo, if you had a sandwich what would it be? Marlo: Sharp cheddar cheese, slices of apple and raisins. Anna: that sounds delicious! If you’re a star in your own kitchen celebrate National Sandwich Day with your own celebrity creation.
Most people agree that the Thanksgiving meal is one they look forward to all year. And while the tradition of what’s on the menu may vary from home to home, the secret ingredient that makes every meal delicious is gratitude. Perhaps you’ve noticed how counting your blessings makes everything in life appear sweeter, even when it’s hard to see the silver lining. When life goes off course try keeping an attitude of gratitude. It’s not an essential cooking ingredient, but it is one of life’s best kept secrets. During National Gratitude Month, we invite you to watch as the things you’re grateful for begin to multiply.
