May 3, 2020 – National Lemonade Day | National Paranormal Day
Transcript for May 3rd
Welcome to May 3rd, 2020 as we bridge the social distance on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate sweet success and supernatural myth busters. More after the break from Anna Devere.
National Lemonade Day is the perfect opportunity to teach kids about the sweet taste of success. Who couldn’t benefit from the lesson these days that when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. While the first Sunday of May might look a little different this year, it’s the perfect opportunity to see something simple in a whole new light. Visit LemonadeDay.org to find new ways to 1) Set a Goal, 2) Make a Plan, 3) Work the Plan, and 4) Achieve Your Dream. And don’t forget to kick back and sip the delicious rewards.
History’s most famous magician—Harry Houdini—was also a real-life ghost-buster. When he wasn’t on stage performing, he devoted his time to proving that ghosts didn’t exist, and regularly exposed psychics and spiritual mediums as frauds. Houdini once gave his wife a secret phrase that only they knew and told her that he would contact her from the afterlife if such a thing were possible. Though she held many seances after his death, she never did hear from Harry the ghost. On National Paranormal Day celebrate all things supernatural and spooky and whether you’re a Mulder or a Scully, check out footage of UFOs or some ghost hunting videos on YouTube. It may all be bogus—but what if it isn’t?? The truth is out there.
