June 3, 2020 – National Egg Day | National Repeat Day
Transcript for June 3rd
Welcome to June 3rd, 2020 on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate which came first. More after the break from Anna Devere.
Which came first…the chicken or the egg? Well, if the answer is based on our calendar, the chicken came first. Yesterday we celebrated rotisserie chicken, but today it’s National Egg Day. There aren’t many foods as versatile as eggs, whether you like scrambled, hard-boiled, over easy, or poached…the variations are practically endless. And while doctors and nutritionists can’t seem to decide whether eggs are a health food or an indulgence, eggs provide 6 grams of protein, only 5 grams of fat and a mere 75 calories each. Sounds like a sure way to satisfy hunger to me!
Marlo: Which came first…the chicken or the egg? Well, if the answer is…
Anna: Marlo, what are you doing? I just said that.
Marlo: What are you doing? I just said that.
Anna: Are you mocking me? What’s this all about?
Marlo: It’s National Repeat Day. Today, you can repeat things that you love. Like listening to your favorite song over and over, eating the same thing for lunch and dinner, or even…
Anna: Repeat things your friends say.
Anna: [pause] Exactly!
Marlo: Are you repeating me now?
Anna: Are you repeating me now?
