How Do You Celebrate Your Besties?
Welcome to August 1st, 2020 on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate “bff”s and a good walk unspoiled.
While there are other days that celebrate friendship, National Girlfriends Day is all about the girls. And as Cindy Lauper says, most of us just wanna have fun. If you haven’t seen your besties in awhile, today is the day to look them up. Spend time reminiscing about the glory days or plan a future vacation together, down to the last detail. After all, there is likely no one who knows you better, which comes in handy when you’re in the mood to actually laugh out loud. On National Girlfriends Day celebrate the bffs who know what’s best when it comes to having fun.
Mark Twain described the game of golf as a good walk spoiled, and while he might not have been the first to say it, anyone who has ever played the game knows why. The sport played with clubs can be maddening. Disc golf on the other hand is decidedly simple and for this reason its popularity rose in the late 1960s. While both games are played on a green and tally the number of tries it takes to reach the target, disc golf is easy for anyone to play and requires little equipment, making it perfect for families and people of any skill level. That doesn’t mean it’s not a competitive sport and even the International Olympic Committee recognized Flying Disc Sports in 2015. On National Disc Golf Day enjoy a good walk unspoiled with family and friends.
